Like mother, like daughter...

This is Bella.  She is my love...well one of my loves!  Of course there's my husband, my dog, my morning coffee, and Cake Pops!!  She is quickly learning the art of baking and loving what you bake!  She is such a sweet girl, and she's always wanting to help Mommy make pops!  One glimpse of them and she's joyfully exclaiming "Pops Mommy, I want Pops!"  Maybe I've created a monster?  Nonetheless, she evidently has her mothers (and her grandmothers) sweet tooth!  I try to limit her sugar, like any mother would, but it's getting harder with all these fabulous treats around!  Maybe I'll experiment with some Zucchini or Banana bread pops?  Hmmm, could be good!!

Baby Crazy!

Whew! Last week was nuts. We had our first "real" event and made three dozen pops for a baby boy shower. Nicole and I spent the majority of our days in the kitchen, rolling, melting and drizzling away. The women hosting the shower wanted to use baby blue and although I'm not a big fan of pastels, I must say the color looked great. Even better when we added the pops to the pots with bright green moss.

THEN, along with friends we hosted a "sip and see" for our friend Rian who just had baby girl Sutton Wren. The egg pops in nests and details came together fabulously. It was such a great way to get everyone together and celebrate! I especially LOVE the bright color scheme we came up with. Check it out! ~Natalie

Chocolate is the answer. Who cares what the question is!

Tonight as part of our R&D (research & developement) I am making chocolate cake.  Because Natalie and I decided from the get go, that we would always use homemade cakes and frostings, I am on a quest to find the perfect chocolate cake recipe!  The kind that you'd want to eat with a big glass of cold milk  Several cook books, calls to Mom, and Google searches later and I've narrowed it down to 3 recipes!  Tonight's recipe is a light coco color, creamy and not too dark like some chocolate cakes can be!  I've added mini chocolate morsels for fun!  Wish me luck!

Oh My Gosh...We're live!!

Just a few short months ago, Natalie and I were talking about the "what ifs" of starting our own business!  We joked about it, brainstormed about it, and now WE'RE DOING IT!!
Enter: Cakes That Go Pop

Here's to all the times I've said "what if...!"
